A group of 8 of us from one family had a private Tremont Food Tour led by Barb Snow. She did a wonderful job! We learned a lot about the history of the area (even though most of us grew up within 20 miles of it) and all of us loved her selection of restaurant choices. We all ended up spending more than an hour at one of the local establishments following the tour. I'd highly recommend this to anyone.

I was only in Tremont once before this tour. Never explored the area so I though a tour would be a great place to start. Tour guide was super nice and full of fun facts. Definitely wear walking shoes because you will see a large area and come hungry because you will leave stuffed! Food was delicious! It's a great way to try multiple restaurants in one outing

This is the second time I've taken this tour. Enjoyed it as much or more this time. As always, Barbara is great !

How about developing a Cleveland architectural tour ? Or a true crime tour? Barons of Industry? There is so much incredible history which has been preserved in Cleveland.

Our tour guide, Barbara, was extremely knowledgeable about the Tremont area and was very personable. Despite the unpredictable Cleveland weather (rain and snow) we thoroughly enjoyed this tour. The tour provided a nice mix of history and great tastings. We especially loved Parallax! Thanks for making this girls reunion weekend so special, Barbara!

My husband and I celebrated our 25th anniversary with the Historic Tremont Food Tour. The food was amazing. We sampled food from Prosperity Social Club, Parallax, Ty Fun and Lilly Homemade Chocolates. We truly enjoyed each course. Our tour guide, Ann, was fun and informative. She talked, not only about the restaurants we visited, but also the history of the area, architecture and other attractions. We enjoyed getting to know the other people on the tour. We definitely recommend this tour. We will be signing up for the Little Italy tour next.

My daughter's maid of honor plan this food tour for the first stage of the party and it was great. I have worked in the Cleveland area for the past 27+ years and been to several parts of the Tremount area, but nothing like this tour. Our tour guide was great, very knowledgable and very patient with our group. Too bad the weather did not cooperate!

She sent txt to confirm our meeting place (which was great because I was not familiar with the area... provided that special reassurance) and was very prompt. She introduced herself and had the group give a brief intro. which was a great icebreaker. We treked through the rain (tour guide provide a narrative of the neighhood and special events that occured, ie movie "Deer Hunter, Christmas Story... great narratives) and the first resturant was fabulous. It was great to walk in the resturant and be immediately seated and have a wonderful meal presented. Being not familiar with the menu, it was great to have such a fabulous entry delivered. One of our guests has a food allergy and they were very accomidating to her needs. After #1 stop we were off to #2 stop... hiking through the rain with a great narrative presented by the tour guide. I love the bits of history she noted of the building and landmarks in the area...very good. #2 was great...there again I loved the fact that we walked in was immediately waited on and the food was fabulous. Going to a new resturant I am not always sure of what to order. With the food tour, it provided the menu and it was great, I loved the selection they served. There again the were accomdating to our food allergy guest. #2 great now off to #3... walking through the rain getting soaked ( our guide offered umbrella for those guests that did not have proper rain attire...very nice jesture). There again, narrative on the history of the neighborhood and special events that took place in the area....fire flies... beautiful...#3 great (indian?) loved the food, very accomdiating...Our tour guide noted we were running a bit late and called #4 stop to notify them of our delay... very considerate! #4 was our dessert... never though beer and chocolate went together... it was fabulous... I LOVE chocolate... So glad they were accomidating because it just topped of the evening with a great finale. Everyone in our party had a great time and it was just a wonderful way yo start off the bachelorrette party.

Our tour guide did an execptional job and she was very knowledgeable in her field of expertise...

I told other family /friends of the other tours annd I would love to try the Little Italy food tour.. once I can get that confirmed, I may book that tour.

My group of four had a fantastic time on the Taste of Tremont tour. Barbara was a warm and engaging guide who shared interesting stories about the neighborhood's history. The food was out of this world and we enjoyed talking with the other diners on the tour. We're planning to go back to the Tremont eateries we visited, and we'd like to check out some of the other restaurants and shops we passed as we walked. Great introduction to a fun & funky neighborhood. This was so much fun that we're trying the Taste of Little Italy tour next!

Had a great time. Barbara was very personable and made the evening informational and fun. Loved the food. Only "complaint" would be that the restaurants offer a paper menu to take with us containing other foods and info. Being on time constraints, I think the only restaurant that offered us a menu to look at was Prosperity Social Club. Looking over their foods made me want to return and try other things. The other restaurants didn't offer menus at all. Parallax showed us a drink menu, but not food. It would help their business greatly for us to walk away with even a simple "to go" menu to refer to with info. Loved all of the food!

Barbara guided a group of 15 --two girlfriends' weekend groups and a couple celebrating an anniversary--through Tremont and to some of its neighborhood treasures. Her stories about Tremont's history were fascinating and as were her comments on the current-day happenings.

The food was delicious and plentiful. Most of all, we appreciated how welcoming the restaurants were to our visit.

Barbara is a knowledgeable foodie and she was so much fun while keeping this fairly large group on time and in line.

The couple we were with had received the tour as an anniversary gift from their children. What a great gift idea!

We were one of the Girls Weekend groups--all of us raised in Cleveland and we loved discovering a backyard treasure--and many new spots we are planning to visit.

You won't be disappointed by this tour. Our thanks to Barbara for being our gracious and informed guide. This is a winner!

We- older adults- were given this tour by our son and daughter-in-law (who are the registered members of Zerve.

We enjoyed the tour of Tremont and selection at various restaurants. Our group was small-5 people total- and we were comfortable with that.Other members of group were very open to conversation. Restaurants welcomed us and were not "pushy" to purchase anything other than what was included in tour. Would have liked to go in one of the churches. Guide should be able to eat w/ us- we felt awkward that she had to 'sit and watch us eat."

First and for most I enjoyed learning about the history of Tremont. But when I booked the ticket I was told one of the restaurants would be a soul food restaurant. There was no soul food restaurant and that was one of the places I was looking forward to going. I also would like to have had more of a description of the food we were eating because it is a food tour. It would have been nice ahead of time to know the meals that would be served. This way you can know which tour is for you and it would be great to be able to have a second choice to choose from. Can you please address the issue of when I booked the ticket it said a soul food restaurant and there was not one?

The tour was a fun way to entertain out of town guests and the food was delicious and plentiful. I would recommend a different route back to the starting point however after the last restaurant. We walked down a very sketchy street in tremont and it was getting to be dusk and at one point one man walked up near us and I thought perhaps he was a pan handler b/c he looked so scruffy and he walked beside a woman in our group for a minute before cutting through our group to go down a side street. The houses on the final street were in terrible condition and everyone in the group felt a little uncomfortable. If by myself or with only my husband, we would have been very nervous. A better route or retracing steps back through the way we came would have been preferred.

We enjoyed our time in Tremont. The restaurant choices were varied and gave us a nice selection of the neighborhood's offerings. The tour guide, John, however, was not enthusiastic, gave us little information about the area and generally did not interact with the group unless WE interacted with him first. Can't you find a better representative of your company? We are well traveled and think that a knowledgable, enthusiastic tour leader is essential if you want repeat business or recommendations to others.

I felt the tour lacked detail regarding the highly interesting and historically significant Tremont area. I felt that there should have been more information provided during the downtime at the food stops, one wait was extremely long. It would also be nice if the tour included beverages and if the managers or chefs at the food stops engaged with the tour group. Overall, I found this tour boring and was disappointed. I have been on other Zerve tours that were much better than this one. I would not recommend it.

Pleasant evening but not quite what we expected. More than enough food was provided and it was all wonderful. Tourguide was cordial but not at all enthused or very informative. Austin gave an excellent overview of the history of Tremont, its people and buildings. As a history buff, her insights really added to the enjoyment of the tour.

The restaurants and food that I experienced were varied and excellent. Austin described what I would be eating and she was spot on each time. The pace was relaxing and it was a pleasure to walk around between dishes.

My favorite places were the Italian Restaurant and the Chocolate Bar for a very civilized desert.

This tour was the nicest thing I did for myself during my visit to Cleveland.

I attended the tour with my mom and mother in law. My mom and I have been to several Tremont restaurants, but were excited to hear new facts and information, as well as to try new dishes at the restaurants we visited. My mother in law had never been to Tremont. She enjoyed the tour, as well as the restaurants chosen for the tour. Our group's favorite stop was Lago. We liked Ty Fun and thought that it added a different cuisine to the tour, but could see the tour being improved by adding stop such as Parallax or Fahrenheit. We found our tour guide to be knowledgeable and very friendly. She did a great job and exhibited a lot of enthusiasm for the area and the different cuisines. We would all recommend this tour to anyone who enjoys good food!

Our tour guide mentioned that a Little Italy tour may soon be available. We would definitely buy tickets to that tour if offered.

The tour guide and the 2 tour guide trainees were wonderful company for the experience. The restaurant choices were great. The length of the tour was just right.

I purchased the Food Tour as a birthday gift to my foodie husband. Our guide, Stefanie, was wonderful! She was very knowledgeable about the history of the city as well as the food choices we received. This was a great way to see the neighborhood and try different entrees. Everything we tried was exceptionally good! I was so full afterwards, I needed a nap! Hats off to Stefanie and Cleveland Food Tour for offering such a great opportunity to experience! I can't wait to visit the other cities they offer!

The food tour was mostly fun.

-- Lilly's chocolates were fantastic

-- Ty Fun was excellent

-- The other people on the tour were extremely good company

A few small quibbles ...

-- The tour started 20m late, and only after several calls to the service

-- Our tour guide had, at best, a cursory knowledge of the area and gave the history at the level of a third-grade class ("This used to be a saloon where the ethnic people would send letters to their homelands.")

-- The portions were all fairly small; I doubt our total menu cost would have added up to the cost of the tour.

I'd very cautiously recommend it for tourists, and there's absolutely no reason for a local to go.
