I was kinda expecting to see some places I had never been to, and this wasn't the case. I go out in the heights from time to time and had been somewhat familiar with the places on the tour.

Didn't matter. The attention we got from the staff at all out stops really helped me appreciate the restaurants better. Tour guide was awesome, and my group had a great time.

This is a fun way to experience several eateries in the Heights. Tacos a Go Go and the hot dog bun at Happy Fatz were especially good. Delicious salads at Revival Market were excellent, and the gelato at Connie's was super! Fun people and fun tour guide.

I was anticipating Lee's Fried Chicken and donuts but overall I had a blast and met some cool people. I am going to do it again with my boyfriend.

We received the heights culintary walking tour as a gift. We do not live anywhere near the heights, so the opportunity to come "in-town" and be able to try the restaurants that only the locals would know of was exciting. Although this was a walking tour, it was not enough walking to work up a sweat. In fact, it was just enough walking to allow a small break in between tastings. There were 5 different stops we made along the way. Only one of them provided an alcoholic beverage. You have the option to purchase beverages at the other locations, but it never seemed as though we had time to do this. The food was prepped and ready for us when we go there (which was great!). Our tour included Onion Creek Cafe, Cavatore, Tacos a Gogo, Happy Fatz & a Gelato parlor. Our tour guide mentioned that they would be changing a few restaurants on the tours to come. The tour guide was great & entertaining. He provided us with history of the city and fun stories about how the restaurants on the tour were chosen.

A few things that were different than what was explained on the FAQ document posted on the website. 1. There is not a "bus or shuttle". This is a 100% walking tour. 2. There are no drinks available (St. Arnold's brew is listed on the FAQ document) and you are unable to walk with a cooler. You can bring a bottle of water with you.

Other than these few minor things the walking tour was fantastic!! We will be signing up for walking tour in other areas of Houston soon!

First of all our tour guide John was great. He was very knowledgeable about the area and the restaurants. Friendly and kept us on task without feeling rushed. Very much enjoyed walking through the homes and the choice of restarants. Onion creek and the sister restarant was our favorite. Was really hoping for a hot dog at Hapoy Fats and one if their deserts but the gelato was superb.

Delicious food, fun facts for foodies, and an awesome tour guide made for a relaxing afternoon. We started with apps and took a leisurely walk through neighborhoods to two more places for snacks. The tour was relaxing and we also learned a few things about the Heights. Then we walked to dinner and dessert. Everything was very close and because we took our time, we didn't get overly full even with 5 courses :)

The weather was a nice chill and the tour was great.I learned a lot about restaurants that I will definitely return and visit:and the odd thing is that I have passed by several of the 5 restaurants on my tour several times but just never thought to visit them until the tour.Very enjoyable.
